FINDLAY, OH (WLIO) - Local businesses make the grade as Forbes best companies to work for in the United States. Forbes released their list of the best large companies to work for, which means more than 5,000 employees. Marathon Petroleum is ranked 68th nationally and the 3rd highest Ohio-based company. The Findlay-based company employs nearly 18,000 people in their oil refining and distribution operations. Other companies with local ties include Procter and Gamble which ranked 108th and Ohio State University at 166th. Forbes uses a marketing research firm to review surveys of over 170,000 employees nationwide to make up their list. Drug manufacturer Novo Nordisk and tech company Garmin were the top large companies to work for in the United States.
