LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The snow and cold didn't stop dozens of people from walking several blocks to get their message out.
Heartbeat of Lima led their Walk for Life Sunday, Jan. 22. The group marched with signs from LCC to their office on Cable Road to show support for the organization's mission.
The group says they want to honor the memory of women who have lost their children and women who struggled with the choice to have an abortion. They also want people to know that they are there to help mothers and have many services available to those who need guidance or help dealing with difficult experiences.
"We work with women when they are in need and we reach out and help them with pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and we want to be there for them to support them and help them through the times they're going through," said Patti Kennedy, Executive Director of Heartbeat of Lima.
After the march, everyone gathered at the Heartbeat of Lima office to hear their medical director speak about their mission and services.
