Even though we are still three weeks from the official start of summer, the temperatures are saying otherwise.
Places like the Columbus Grove pool had a great opening day on Monday, thanks to the mercury reaching the high 80 degrees mark. Around 250 people came out on Memorial Day and more families stopped out Tuesday to enjoy the water. Employees say the historic location is a great place to keep your cool.
“It’s kind of out in the country, you get quite of bit of wind, good water, splash pad, it’s a good way to beat the heat,” says Chloe Schnipke, Manager of the Columbus Grove Pool. “We usually get around 100 people, on a hot day quite a bit more than that.”
The Columbus Grove pool will be open seven days a week through mid-August.
