Horse Racing at Van Wert Co. Fair, Still Popular

For jockey Jorge Collazo Jr. racing horses is something he loves.

And he's good at it, winning the first two races at the Van Wert County Fair.

It is the only county fair in Ohio to offer quarter horse and thoroughbred racing.

The 36 year old from Puerto Rico has been racing for the past 25 years.

His father has been racing for 30 years.

Kristi Tumblin owns three horses that raced at the fair and is disappointed that more owners don't race here.

Speed Director Mike Poling says they want to bring horse racing back to the prominence it was 20-30-40 years ago.
