Ohio Northern University’s Mobile Health Clinic was on hand to provide testing, and the West Ohio Food Bank had food boxes that the seniors could take home if they wanted.

The Putnam County Senior Expo brought together around 60 different senior citizen agencies, organizations, and non-profits, as well as private businesses geared to helping the lives of seniors. There was also free breakfast, educational talks, and a chance to dispose of unused or expired medication. Hundreds of seniors look forward to the expo each year because it’s a one-stop shop for their health and wellbeing.

“I think it’s important for people to be aware of the resources that are available to them in our area. Also, for this group of seniors to get out and socialize, connect with each other, connect with the resources. I think it really important for our county to continue to do this for our senior group,” says Allie Rosebrock, Putnam County Health Department.
