Lieutenant governor candidate Jon Husted met with Ohio voters at the University of Northwestern Ohio today(3/19/18) to discuss he and Mike DeWine's vision for a better Ohio future.
The Republican candidate also answered questions from Ohio voters about their campaign promises which include a plan to end the opioid epidemic, working with Ohio schools to graduate young people either ready for college or a career and a plan to modernize Ohio's workforce training system.
When discussing his plans for Ohio's workforce and the importance of vocational education alongside college degrees, Husted stated, "We love college, college is great but its not for everybody and its not necessary for you to run up $100,000 in debt to go off to college when through our two year schools our community colleges our career centers you can get the kind of skills that are really in demand in our economy."
Husted says that under their plans to modernize our workforce training system, Ohio can become a global leader in advanced manufacturing and data.
