Dozens hit the roller rink to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Edgewood Skate held their annual M.L.K. Jr. Day All Day Skate. Families came out to take part in the fun. Employee Laurie Snyder says the M.L.K. Jr. Skate has been getting kids out and active on this day off from school for four decades now.
"We've had this for 40 years," says Snyder. "The kids have no school and it just gives them something to do fun instead of staying home."
The next Edgewood Skate special event is Saturday, January 20, 2018 for the "Skate with a Cop" event. Officers from several local departments will be there and the American Township Fire Department will be giving tours of the newly renovated facility.
