“Our goal this year is to get the gardens up and running good and get good produce and just offer it all to the community,” said Denise James, president of LACNIP.

The agricultural business models seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the LACNIP center. Organizers say the session is designed to help participants better understand ways to turn agricultural efforts into sustainable ventures.

Garden applications are available Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the LACNIP facility, located at 1440 W. Spring St. Organizers encourage residents to take advantage of the opportunity to learn, grow fresh produce and connect with others in the community.
