Lauck gets 5 years in prison on intimidation charge

A Hancock County man was sentenced this week to five years in prison for shooting at a deputy.  52-year-old Ronald Dean Lauck was found guilty of intimidation by a jury in March but was found not guilty on a felonious assault charge. Both charges had a 3-year gun specification. According to court records and law enforcement, in August 2020, Lauck fired a shot at a Hancock County deputy, who was responding to a domestic violence call involving his son. Gunfire was exchanged before law enforcement was able to arrest Lauck. No one was injured in the incident.
