Smith explained, "I think that regardless of if a person is a man or a woman, we all have our own individual paths into politics or public office. The important thing I think is to number one, understand the job that you are running for; number two, stay connected to the people that you're running to represent; and number three, study and show up prepared; always do your best and work hard."

"I think tonight we had a really good debate and forum about the challenges of women in politics. I think we presented that hard work and dedication certainly remove barriers to women being in politics," added Seibert.
