The festival was created to be something fun and entertaining to do downtown. It’s a collaboration of several area businesspeople who are bonded by the love of art, music, and entrepreneurship. There will be something for everyone with live entertainment, great food, and creative art in a free, family-friendly environment.

Alter Ego Comics owner Marc Bowker explains, “Well, everybody involved with Legacy Arts, we’re all small business owners and we’re all committed to sticking around in downtown Lima to making it a fun and exciting place, to providing opportunities and entertainment for people to come downtown. And that’s why we do the street party. We saw a need in our community to have a festival that was downtown, and we stepped up and created the Legacy Arts Street Party.”

Bowker says they are currently looking for art vendors, makers, food trucks, and other artists to take part. If interested, you can go to legacyartsohio.com for more information. This is the 3rd Legacy Arts Street Party and is scheduled for Saturday, August 6th on North Main Street in front of Alter Ego Comics.
