Longevity is something that businesses strive to find in their employees, and one local hospital celebrated those employees who have put in the time to help them provide better care for the area.

Lima Memorial Health System held their “High Five” associate recognition banquet to honor those employees that have hit different 5-year milestones, ranging from 5 years to 45 years at the hospital. The 141 employees honored tonight have put in a combined 2,310 years of service. But one employee stands out among the rest. Mary Ann Moore has dedicated over 45 years to the hospital, which has become a family to her.

“I have met a lot of great people while I have worked there. Never thought I would stay for 45 years when I started, but it's been a really good place to work for 45 years,” said Mary Ann Moore.

“Our vision statement is quality care and a family atmosphere and that is what we really try and do. That is why longevity is important here at Lima Memorial because people stay here because they are part of the family and that is how we view them,” said Mike Swick, Pres. and CEO, LMHS.

Besides getting honored Thursday night, the members of the 40 and 45-year club also got gift certificates for vacations and shopping sprees for their years of service.
