LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Many attended the “Love is Love” event in Lima Saturday.
Taking place at the Vibe Coffee House on Market Street, the Lima Pride Alliance hosted their Valentine’s themed event with homemade food, coffee, and music. This event was open to all Lima locals to learn more about the organization and its mission. With snacks and drinks being served, there was also an open mic held for an hour.
"We're just making it an open invitation to the city to come out and meet the Lima Pride Alliance. It's a brand-new organization that started about six months ago when we saw the way the political climate was changing. We decided it was time we needed to build community," says Jeff Givan, President of Lima Pride Alliance.
He adds that they have big hopes for the future and are planning something major for Pride Month in June. Missed out on today’s event? The Lima Pride Alliance is hosting a fundraising meal tomorrow for Debs Dogs. All proceeds made from this event will go to the dog rescue center.
