Lima students learn about creating animation

Students at Lima's South Science and Technology Magnet School getting a quick course in animation.

The students are doing a stop animation project as part of the William T. Fowler Science Series. They heard from Your Hometown Stations Promotions Director Patrick Cochenour. As part of his position, Cochenour creates animated commercials and promos using a variety of animation programs. The students learned about creating characters and how to bring them to life. While the process can be time consuming and complicated, Cochenour emphasized to the students that practice is key in learning the technology.

The Fowler Series is a partnership between the Lima City Schools, the Ohio State University at Lima, and the City of Lima. This is the third year for the series.
