LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - The Lima Symphony Orchestra is ready to groove as they say goodbye to 2024.
You can check out the Lima Symphony Orchestra with Jeans n’ Classics on Tuesday, December 31st, at the Civic Center.
This year, for their annual New Year's Eve concert, they are going to be sharing the stage with singers and musicians with Jeans n’ Classics for a night of Disco and Motown. You can dance the night away listening to songs made popular by Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, ABBA, and more. Jeans n’ Classics have shared the stage with the Lima Symphony Orchestra in past New Year’s Eve concerts, as they blend the classic sound of the orchestra with the beats of a rock band for one unique wall of sound that gets you moving.
“They are bringing in a professional drummer. They have a bass player, a guitar player, a fabulous keyboard player, John Regan, who we have seen over and over on our stage, and some incredible, incredible singers,” says Elizabeth Brown-Ellis, Ex. Dir. Lima Symphony Orchestra. “They are all classically trained musicians, and they will join our orchestra. Sometimes when you hear those arrangements of disco or Motown or rock music, it sounds a little off. But we are going to have rock musicians with us, so you will have that wonderful blend.”
You can check out the Lima Symphony Orchestra with Jeans n’ Classics on Tuesday, December 31st, at the Civic Center. The concert starts at 7:30 pm, and you can get your tickets by going to their website.
