LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima Memorial Health System bringing services to those living at the Lima Towers.
Dozens of residents attending the health fair to learn more about what they should be doing to maintain good health. Lima Memorial bringing information on smoking cessation education, nutritional demonstrations, mental health care, and appointment screening.
"Many of them still have lingering effects of COVID and just scared to leave their apartments so it was good we could have services here in our own community. Lima Memorial said they would just come out and set up a health fair for you in your building. Our residents are loving it, they want more of it, they are already asking for more," said John Gonzales, service coordinator at the Lima Towers.
"We brought flu shots out we brought mental health out. Vascular screenings, balance checks, cardiac care, smoking cessation, and a lot of different services that we offer at Lima Memorial," said Tiffany Ward, DEI manager at Lima Memorial.
This was the second health fair that Lima Memorial has sponsored at the Lima Towers and they say they plan to continue bringing it to the residents.
