Lima's free Concerts in the Parks series kicks off for the season

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Free summer concerts returned to Faurot Park for the 57th year on Sunday evening.

Lima's free Concerts in the Parks series kicks off for the season

The Concerts in the Parks series will have free shows every Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Lima Rotary Pavilion through August 11th. There will be a wide variety of genres on stage each week, like blues, R&B, and classic rock, so that everyone can find a band that they enjoy. The goal is to give the city another place and event where they can come out with their family, friends, or dogs and have a good time.

"It's free; it's Sunday evening, so it's a tradition for a lot of people. The parks are always just beautiful; I mean, right now, it's 10 degrees cooler than it is in the rest of the city. And it's all great music, so people like it," said Bart Mills, the director of the Council for the Arts of Greater Lima.
