Lincolnview Elementary shows off its newly completed Special Education suite and other additions

MIDDLE POINT, OH (WLIO) - Lincolnview Local Schools showed off their latest improvements to their elementary school on Sunday. 

Planning for a new Special Education suite began back in 2019. Work is now complete on the new classrooms, sensory room, and office space for faculty in the department. As planning progressed, the district also found funding to complete several more projects, including a new library, an interactive STEM lab, and a green screen for video production lessons. These new facilities aim to improve the quality of education across the board and get more students prepared for careers in fields like engineering. 

"When I see our students come in the school on Wednesday, which is our first day, and walk in those new areas, and those students say, 'This is for us?' Just like when we were students here, we wanted the best, and those people gave it to us. So what our goal is is to always give more to our students than we had as students ourselves," explained Superintendent Jeff Snyder.

Between the latest additions and those completed last year, the district has added 10,000 square feet to the school.
