Local Lima church shares Good Friday message to spread faith in Lima Town Square

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A Lima church brings a Good Friday message to the people.

Northland Community Church held an open air worship in Lima’s town square gazebo Friday afternoon. Church members spread the story of Jesus, through scripture and songs. For Christians, the Easter season is a time of rebirth, renewal and grace, as Good Friday marks the sacrifices that Jesus made during his crucifixion, to his resurrection on Easter.

"His resurrection knows what gives us that grace and we and we, that's our promise that we will rise again too, in new bodies. But I just hope to see our country lean more to God, turn more to God, if not God's way, who really is qualified to say what way," says Randy Maynard, Worship Leader of Northland Community Church.

Easter concludes the 40-day Lenten season that began on Ash Wednesday.
