VAN WERT, Ohio (WLIO) - With the extreme low odds of winning the lottery, someone was lucky enough to bring home the 60-million-dollar Mega Millions in Van Wert.

Sold at Tyler's Short Stop on East Main Street, the winner was among over hundreds of tickets sold that day. This is the biggest lottery earnings Van Wert has ever seen. This ticket was purchased Tuesday, and the winner chooses to remain anonymous for now. Not only does this benefit the winner greatly, but Tyler's Short Stop receives a 10-thousand-dollar bonus for selling the winning ticket.

"A lot of people told me, so we checked online so I know that someone hit here. And I'm so happy they hit my store, and they're happy too maybe, for the win," says Diness Patel, Owner of Tyler's Short Stop.

The winner has 180 days to claim the prize and has the option to take the prize as an annuity paid over 30 years or take the cash option of 27.1 million. Having a lottery winner locally brings hope that maybe your ticket will be the next winner.
