Man charged with intentionally hitting a person with a pick-up truck

A person was seriously injured after being struck intentionally by a pick-up in St. Marys over the weekend.

St. Marys Police officers arrested 31-year-old Joseph DeMarco and charged him with two counts of felonious assault. He is in the Auglaize County Jail and the bond has been set at $100,000. Police officers were called to the parking lot behind 100 W. Spring Street just before 5:30 Saturday night for reports of a person struck by a vehicle. During the investigation, they determined that DeMarco was the driver and he intentionally hit the victim.
