LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Beaverdam man has been sentenced to jail time and probation in connection with a shooting that occurred in May.

Brandon Deeds, 32, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and three years of probation after pleading guilty to attempted felonious assault.

The charge stems from a May 16 incident involving Brandon Jones of Lima at a home on Napoleon Road. Deeds was initially charged with felonious assault but later accepted a plea deal that reduced the charge.

Authorities say Deeds fired three rounds at Jones during the incident, striking him once. Jones was later found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound at a truck stop in Beaverdam.
