LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The City of Lima getting a new director of finance after the retirement of former finance director Steve Cleaves.
Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith swore in Meri Foster as the new director of finance at her Wednesday media briefing. Foster is a Lima native and comes from the private sector in healthcare finance and is looking forward to working in the public sector and being a part of the mayor's "Better Together" commitment to the city of Lima.
"The city is very strong, they have a strong balance sheet and they have a strong cash reserves. That way we do have the ability to put all these plans in place," commented Meri Foster, Director of Finance for the City of Lima.
Foster says they will build upon the strong financial base of the city and continue on the same path.
