LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The car show community came together to remember and celebrate those who are no longer with us.
The Fallen Car Guys Cruz in the Streets of Heaven Car Show Sunday afternoon was all about honoring the custom and classic car community members who have passed away. Several cars at the show belonged to those who died, like Russ Williams' Trans Am.
Money raised by the show will be donated to Heartbeat of Lima. When you see all the restored and custom cars lined up at any show, you don't always get to see the type of people behind those vehicles, and the countless other charity shows they've been a part of.
"Everybody's just very giving, everybody gives everybody support. Everybody helps each other out. I mean, it's just an awesome thing to be a part of. I've just been blessed to have as many friends as I have, customers, family, friends, everybody that helped put this show on because there's a lot of hands in it, there's a lot that goes into doing this for anybody that puts these on, it's crazy," said Tom Evans, who owns Tom's Auto Detailing where the show was hosted.
Sunday's car show was in memory of the following late community members:
Wally Kincaid, John Reynolds, Phil Battles, Jerry Cress, Kenny Seifker, Kenny Korte, Tom Holovac, Donna Odenweller, Benny Oehlhof, Ruth Ann Shaw, Jesse Orick, David Tiny Brannan, Pat Locke, Dave Duglas, Jerry Meyers, Garry Allen, Ron Nott, Russ Williams, Joe Lombardo, Bob Humes Sr., Duane Reynolds Sr., Randy Reynolds, Terry Reynolds, Larry Dudgeon, and Tim Allison.
