Throughout the morning participants were tasked with completing the 3-mile course which circled around the medical center campus. This is an event that organizers say will help motivate people to accomplish their fitness goals this winter.

“It’s kind of our way of giving back the community to try to get people to break the wintertime blues and monotony,” said Abe Frieson, Mercy Health-St. Rita’s fitness coordinator. “Get them out and doing something that is good for them.”

At the end of the event, 1st place awards were presented to the winners and medals were presented to the other participants.
