The newly hired dean and director of Ohio State University at Lima, Tim Rehner, has arrived on campus.
Rehner met with members of the media today and spoke about his upcoming role with Ohio State. Rehner said the position was attractive because it's a position he is able to build futures in and link community partnerships. Rehner comes from the University of Southern Mississippi where he was the director of the school of social work. He said he brings in great experience in education and community outreach.
"One, I got to learn how this system works," Rehner said. "So a lot of assessment, figuring out where we are and what needs to happen going forward. Then hopefully, building on that then reaching out. It's going to be some pacing myself to figure out what are good things to do and building relationships is going to be early on in this process."
Rehner will assume his new duties beginning April 1.
