A retailer picks Lima to open it's 19th location, which will be the first one for them in Ohio. The Big RÂ will move into the vacant Wal-Mart building on North Cable Road, creating 70 jobs.
Big RÂ is a general merchandise retailer, that offers apparel, lawn and garden items, name brand sporting goods and more. Big RÂ is known for its wide selection of farm and general merchandise, and the owner says they liked the cable road location to expand their business.
Crabtree says Big RÂ is a cross between Wal-Mart and Tractor Supply.
It has been family owned since 1965 and headquartered in Illinois. The Lima store, set to open in November, and they are looking at having a job fair in the next few weeks to hire the staff they will need for the Lima store.
