DELPHOS, OH (WLIO) - Students at Delphos St. John's will not be returning to school this week after an electrical fire broke out early Monday morning.

Servpro will be working on cleaning the school building and the vents for the rest of this week.

The fire was contained to a maintenance room, but the smoke and soot from the fire spread throughout the school. Servpro will be working on cleaning the school building and the vents for the rest of this week.

When the students return on Monday, things will be a little different for a while.

Father Walker says there has been an outpouring of support to make sure the kids have what they need and get back to school as soon as possible.

"It might look a little bit different than what our students are used to as we continue the process of cleaning. We are going to have space in our building for all of our K–12 students on Monday. But not every classroom will be finished; some classes will meet in different locations. We are probably not going to have our cafeteria ready to go on Monday. So students will be packing their lunches. It will be a different kind of day at St. John's, but it will be a wonderful day because we will have all of our students back," says Fr. Jeff Walker, pastor of St. John.
