Their portraits will soon be joining the others on display in Reed Hall, honoring those who went on to make great strides in their careers and lift up those around them and within the Ohio State community.

Ryan Schmiesing, this year's Hall of Fame inductee, attended OSU Lima and the main campus in the 90s and is now at the main campus in the Office of Academic Affairs working to improve access to the school for students and the community. He says that the quality of education and faculty in Lima was a big influence on his goal to help others.

"The people that I interacted with, especially the faculty, some who are still here today, instilled in me the fact that I could be successful as a student at Ohio State, that I had something to offer and contribute. And I think throughout my career then that's how I've approached it. I want people around me to feel like they're included in processes and decision-making," Schmiesing said of his time at the Lima campus.

The Early Achievement Alumni Award was presented to 2017 graduate Beverly Steele, who now works for world-renowned theater in Ireland.
