LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Ohio State University at Lima students were named to this year's homecoming court because of their spirit, involvement, and leadership at the campus.

Six students make up the court this year, and two of them will be picked to be Buckeye royalty.
During "Pizza with the Dean," the 2024 Lima Homecoming Court was announced. Each year, student leaders are picked by staff, faculty, and alumni to represent the university during homecoming activities. Six students make up the court this year, and two of them will be picked to be Buckeye royalty. This group is joining 100 students from the Lima campus who have been part of this tradition for the past two decades.
"I wanted to do this to essentially get a leadership role at Ohio State University. I believe the leadership will help me get to where I need to be in life. I believe I will use this to help me succeed as a future educator and a future elementary education teacher," says Lily Lynch, a member of the 2024 Homecoming Court.

The homecoming game will be on October 25th, when the Buckeyes will be taking on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
"Our entire homecoming court will go down to Columbus during homecoming week. We will identify our Buckeye Royalty, and they will get to participate in all of the Buckeye traditions at Homecoming. They will be in the parade. They will get to be on the field and get recognized with the rest of their peers in front of everyone at the game," says Dr. Maggie Young, dean of the Ohio State University at Lima.
