LIMA, OH (WLIO) -Â You are invited to boost your heart and mental health while helping others at this year's Lima Heart Walk.
Organizers are hoping that individuals who are dealing with heart disease, survivors, family, and friends participate in raising money that could save lives. This year's walk will be at the Allen County Fairgrounds with a one-mile course with the challenge of seeing how many laps you can do. The money raised will go to help with research and education.
"There's so many advancements that's come with helping with heart disease and stroke because of all this research, because of past supporters. So the more we support now we're going to be able to save more lives in the future,"
The Lima Heart Walk is Sunday, October 23rd with check-in at 1 p.m. at the Allen County Fairgrounds. The committee is also looking for any performers that would like to play as part of the day full of activities.
