While the humanitarian efforts continue for the people of Ukraine, another effort is underway to save parts of their culture with assistance right here in Lima Allen County.

Librarians at the OSU Lima Campus have joined the efforts of “SUCHO”, “Saving Ukrainian Culture Heritage Online”. By going to the website, you can find spreadsheets that have the names of artwork, music, books, and other cultural items that are online and ‘SUCHO” is working to get those safely archived while the country is under attack.

Director of the OSU Lima Campus Library Tina Schneider says, “There are a lot of people doing a lot more work than we are, but to be able to help in any way is gratifying.”

Lima Campus Reference and Instruction Librarian Zachary Walton adds, “I was working on an archival project that was about a really important Ukrainian figure with a lot of cataloging of books about him, or writings of his, or photos of him and his family. Things like that were archived there so I have been trying to capture those links as well.”
