To celebrate homecoming week and the beginning of fall, students at the OSU Lima campus stopped between classes to participate in a pumpkin carving contest. This is only one of the activities offered this week. They also took a trolley ride through Lima, and have other events coming up. The Director of Student Services, Justin F. Courtney, says that homecoming festivities are about more than just celebrating your school.

"In addition to being a buckeye, they're part of the greater Lima community, so we want them to enjoy where they live also. So we took a trolley ride, went around, and now they're carving pumpkins and all that good stuff. We've got some other events this week and we will go down on Friday with our court, our homecoming royalty, they will go down on Friday for their induction to celebrate their time as royalty and then we'll be at the [football] game on Saturday, so go Buckeyes," said Courtney.

The finished pumpkins will be judged by this year's homecoming court.
