New students at the Ohio State University Lima campus heard from the dean of the school Monday morning for convocation.
Dean of OSU Lima, Dr. Tim Rehner, spoke to the students about the start to their college careers, and their role in creating the culture at the school that allows them and others to grow.
Dr. Rehner also stressed his focus on wanting OSU Lima to be a place that people want to attend in Northwest Ohio, with the hopes that students will stick around the area after they graduate.
"Traditional and nontraditional students can come and get professional degrees with the hope that they will stay in Northwest Ohio," Dr. Rehner said. "I believe that is something that we can all aspire to do, to make this place the destination for The Ohio State University."
Students were also treated to a picnic following the ceremony. Classes officially begin on campus starting on Tuesday, August 20th.
