ALLEN COUTNY, OH (WLIO) - OSU Lima is exhibiting photographs that show a more personal perspective on the war in Ukraine.

The work of the Ukrainian-American photographer Sasha Maslov is on display at Ohio State Lima's Reed Hall. Maslov has traveled to Ukraine several times since the conflict with Russia began to capture photos that tell the stories of those living through it. Each photo is accompanied by a caption that tells their story.

One photo shows a drone operator who has died in combat since their picture was taken. The gallery aims to give people unique insight on the Ukraine conflict by showing portraits of real people alongside their stories.

"It runs the gamut of all people who are sort of either fighting, or who are stuck in Ukraine, or moving back and finding their homes totally destroyed, or finding out that family members have been lost," said Ian Breidenbach, curator of the Farmer Family Gallery at OSU Lima.

The photos will be on display through February 23rd, the one year anniversary of the conflict in Ukraine.
