Area residents are putting their health first with the help of the Ottawa Kiwanis. The service organization holding their fall blood check and health fair at Ottawa Glandorf School. The event gives people the chance to talk one on one with local health care providers, get a flu shot, and drop off expired prescriptions.
For many though, the main reason for attending was the blood testing. American Health Associates, who did the blood draws, will conduct around 3 dozen different test on peoples blood for a fraction of the cost that some medical providers will charge. The Kiwanis put on the bi-annual fairs to help improve the health of the Putnam County residents, and folks around the region as well..
