As the record-breaking temperatures continue through the night, local warming shelters will remain open.
Pastor Nathan Branim from Grace Fellowship Church says the outpouring of help in establishing the warming center at their church has been overwhelming. They have had donations of food, clothing, and volunteers. He wants people to know the shelter is not just for the homeless.
"If someone, they don't have heat in their home, if whatever, we have plenty of resources for them so if someone's on the board or if hey should I go or should I stay, you need to come and just have a nice warm place to stay," said Pastor Nathan Branim.
Branim says you can just show up at Grace Fellowship at 1606 West Elm Street for the night.
"I Can Believe Ministries" has also opened their doors at 1615 West High Street for those looking to stay warm.
