With Christmas being just a couple of days away, the United States Postal Service is in a mad dash to get their orders delivered.

This agency expects to process and deliver a total of over 200 million packages this week alone, and a total of around 900 million packages for this year's holiday season. Many post offices located in major cities across the U.S. Are even delivering on Sundays to keep up with holiday demands. Thursday is predicted to be the busiest day for online postal customers. This is because customers can still have their packages delivered by Christmas if they choose express mail.

"Our employees have been dedicated, they're putting in the hours, we start carriers at 6:30 in the morning out there delivering your packages so if you see mail trucks out there in the dark in the morning that's what we're trying to do. We've got so many packages we can't get them in our vehicles so it's been a busy week that we've had but we've been organized and it's been successful and we're doing very well here this year here at the Lima Post Office," explained Greg Bayes, Post Master of the Lima Post Office.

In order to fulfill timely deliveries, many Lima postal workers are working overtime and are delivering on Sundays as well.
