PotashCorp donated $25,000 to the Apollo Educational Foundation. The Foundation gives out scholarships to graduates of Apollo's High School and Adult Education Programs to attend higher education programs. The foundation has collected nearly $250,000 over the last year and half from local businesses to go toward their scholarship program.
"Just the knowledge that they have been able to support us financially, as far as the growth of our students, on both sides of the fence, the high school students and the adult education students, has been fabulous." Apollo Superintendent Judy Wells says, "And it will benefit all of our community members for at least another 15 to 20 years".
Wells says that PotashCorp is also a great training partner for Apollo Career Center as they work with their current students.
