People come to the Putnam County Fair to indulge in classic fair treats, but others enjoy the homemade cooking.
Sixteen contestants competed in the sugar cookie bake off being judged on taste, texture, and appearance. Ohio Corn and Wheat sponsored the event as well as more cooking competitions later in the week. As the judges ate many cookies, they could only pick three winners. First place won fifty dollars, second place took home thirty, and third got twenty.
After the winners were announced, the audience got to sample.
