GLANDORF, Ohio (WLIO) — Putnam County Right to Life held a rally in Glandorf to show support for the pro-life message.

The group hosts an annual rally during the week of Jan. 22, marking the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion in the United States. Three students involved in local pro-life organizations spoke about their efforts, along with officials from Ohio Right to Life Action Coalition, who said they have seen the pro-life movement grow across the state.

“We've seen it grow tremendously over the last few years, and right now, with the new young people that are coming on the scene, it's wonderful to see, especially in this part of the state. The basic message is that we're still here after all these years. We're not going anywhere, that we're really all in it for life, for life,” says Linda Theis, Pres. of Right to Life Action Coalition Education Fund.

“Life is important, and even though we have the abortion amendment, we can still fight for life, and we need everybody to be in the fight. I hope people come away with life inspiration,” says Ann Warnecke, President of Putnam County Right to Life.

Some Putnam County students will travel with a delegation from the Toledo Diocese to the national March for Life in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 23.
