LEIPSIC, Ohio (WLIO) — There was plenty of good fellowship over some impressive cars in Leipsic Saturday morning.

Chrome and Coffee is a series of summer cruise-ins hosted by Leipsic Methodist Church. There was no cost to participate or attend, and thanks to local sponsors, the church handed out around $500 worth of door prizes during the event.

The community gathers for fellowship and classic cars at Leipsic’s Chrome and Coffee

Saturday marked the third and final Chrome and Coffee of the year. The events usually draw between 30 and 60 vehicles from a five-county area, promoting the importance of people coming together over coffee, donuts, and cars.

“We just like to reach out to everybody in the surrounding area, to so we can get together, have some fellowship. And it's not to draw people into the church. It's just draw people in to have good time here on a Saturday. It's non-competitive, and a lot of car shows have big trophies to give out. We don't have any of that. It's just here to enjoy each other and talk about the old times,” said Dennis Zachrich of Leipsic Methodist Church.

This was the third year for the Chrome and Coffee cruise-ins, and the church looks forward to continuing the tradition next summer.
