The Rhodesology summer camp is underway over at Rhodes State College.
Wednesday marked the halfway point for the 4-day camp offered to kids in grades 2 through 10. The camp offers a collection of STEM-focused activities that allow students to prepare themselves for future education. Campers were given the opportunity to make their own videos, compete in Rocket League as an esports team, and dissect a sheep brain.
"I look forward to sparking their interest in future career endeavors. And it builds a relationship with Rhodes. Especially since this year, we started entering grades 2 to 4 and it's just kind of introducing them to Rhodes. A lot of the kids have never been here before, so this is fun for them to experience college," said Ashley Hunter, coordinator of youth, community, and continuing education.
Every camper who signed up received a t-shirt, backpack, and lanyard.
