LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Kids just don't stop growing, and for some families, it can be tough to find money for new uniforms every year.
Parents and kids could pick up two free uniforms as well as coats, boots, and gloves for winter at the South Lima Community Development Corporation's Back to School Block Party.

For parents with students enrolled in schools with a uniform policy, getting new clothes every year can be difficult on top of all the other things they need to buy.

"I've had many families just very grateful that they were able to get. I had one family with, like, four children, and they were very grateful to get. We gave each child two uniforms a piece, and that helps out a lot when you're a single parent with four children," said Sheri Gary, the vice president of the South Lima Community Development Corporation.
Families also got a free lunch and enjoyed yard games and bounce houses.
