COLUMBUS GROVE, OH (WLIO) -Â The Village of Columbus Grove gathered for a fun weekend tradition that goes back about 100 years.Â

Sunday was the end of the two-day St. Anthony Summer Festival. Kids could play carnival games for prizes, and there were plenty of games for the whole family, like bingo or the bakery wheel. Parishioners also donated items for the festival's raffle and garage sale. Money raised during the annual festival directly supports the church and Catholic grade school.

"Catholic education is a good education. Here in Columbus Grove, we have a good school district too. But it's still good if you're a Catholic to bring your kids up that way if you have the choice to do that. And it's just to teach them good religion, have faith in God," said Kenny Kruse, one of the co-chairmen of the event.Â
Each year, the summer festival also raffles of $20,000 that can be put towards a new car or $15,000 in cash.
