Carnival games, concerts, cake walks and more...the festivities continued at the St. Gerard Festival this weekend (6/2/18).
For the 40th year, St. Gerard Church is inviting the community to come out and come together all kinds of summer fun. From carnival rides, duck races and their famous chicken wings, there is plenty going on for the whole family. The event is the church's largest fundraiser of the year but for them, the weekend-long event is about more than dollars.
"It is our biggest fundraiser for the church," says festival chairperson Michael Mays. "We have a school here, so it offsets some of the costs for the school, but really the main reason is to bring the whole community together for a fun event."
If you missed out on all the fun, the festivities continue tomorrow (6/3/18) at noon. Both parking and entry to the event are free.
