"Stamp out Hunger" food drive

Lima postal carriers have been helping feed the hungry in the region for a quarter of a century.

Saturday, May 13, 2017 will mark the 25th year of the National Association of Letter Carriers "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive and Lima has participated in every one. On the 13th they are asking residents to put non-perishable food on their porch and they, along with helpers, will pick it up. Your donation will stay local as it goes to the West Ohio Food Bank.

"Over the 25 years, we've collected 1.5 billion tons of food to help the people and overall it has been successful. I think people still like to give back to the community," commented Union President, Jeff Steegman.

Again the "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive is Saturday, May 13, 2017. Have your non-perishable foods on your porch early that morning.
