With a new year comes the chance to start the year off right with a good attitude.
The congregation at New Life Church International started the new year by being together and thanking god for all of the good things that happened last year and working past the not so good things. It's easy to focus on the bad things that have happened and feel like it's impossible to get past them, but the pastors at new life say putting faith into the equation might be able to help with that.
"The past is there so we can learn from it, it teaches us, it helps to shape and mold us and prepare us for where we're going," said New Life Church International pastor Darnell Williams. "We believe the Lord has a plan for this new year and as we acknowledge Him, it bridges the gap between what was and what will be."
Pastor Darnell also says that having faith can help you make good decisions in the future.
