Suspect of a double homicide in Paulding County pleads not guilty by reason of insanity

PAULDING COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The Paulding County man charged with killing a husband and wife is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity to the crime.

23-year-old Clay Dockery entered the pleas to two counts of aggravated murder. Dockery will be sent for a mental evaluation and also to see if he is competent to stand trial on the charges.

The Paulding County Sheriff says that they were called for a welfare check at a home in Latty Township after receiving calls that 60-year-old Celecita Williams had not reported to work for two days. Once on the property, deputies discovered both Celecita and her 81-year-old husband Bruce Williams deceased in a barn. Dockery was arrested in Ashtabula County with the Williams' vehicle. He admitted to Ashtabula authorities that he had killed both Williams' and stole their vehicle. Dockery is being held on a 10 million dollar bond.
