Suspect sought after breaking into Mercer County home

A Spencerville man was caught breaking into a rural Mercer County home and his accomplice is still on the run.

34 year old James Baker was arrested early Sunday morning at a home on Kittle Road, just outside Montezuma. Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey says Baker and another man were caught by the homeowner. The homeowner held the pair at gunpoint, but the other man was able to take off before officers arrived. Baker has been charged with criminal trespass, other charges could be on the way. They found a box near Baker's car with meth and other drugs.

The other suspect is described as 5 foot 6 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, last seen wearing at white t-shirt and blue jeans. If you have any information, call the sheriff's office at 419-586-7725
